Your Myend plan belongs to you — not to us. Whether you’re keeping a backup for yourself, sharing a copy with a Legacy Contact, or simply want to see your plan as a finished document, you can export or print your data whenever you like.
What “download your data” means
Myend lets you print or export a copy of your plan as a back-up you control. This isn’t a one-time thing you do before deleting your account — it’s something you can do at any point while you’re actively planning, so you always have an up-to-date copy outside the app if you want one.
This is part of a broader principle behind how Myend is built: your plan is yours. If you ever decide to stop using Myend, everything you created goes with you — nothing is locked in.
Which plan you need
Export and PDF download are part of the paid tiers, not the Free plan:
- Free ($0) — you can build your first directive and contacts, store up to 10 documents in your Vault, and browse everything Myend offers. PDF export isn’t included at this tier.
- Starter ($19, one-time) — includes PDF export for all your plans, so you can download a complete, readable copy of everything you’ve built.
- Complete ($99 one-time, then an optional $25/year) — includes everything in Starter, plus cloud sync, so your plan is automatically backed up and accessible, on top of your own exports.
If you’re on the Free plan and want a downloadable copy of your work, upgrading to Starter is what unlocks it.
What’s included in an export
Your export reflects the plan you’ve actually built — whichever sections you’ve filled in. That can include:
- Your directives — funeral, healthcare, euthanasia (where applicable), and donor wishes
- Your E-Will — the 9-section digital record covering account access, Legacy Contacts, beneficiaries, vault, documents, messages, and memories, finished with your digital signature
- Your Contacts list and Legacy Contacts
- Belongings assignments and Memory Lane entries
Sensitive Vault entries — like account credentials — stay protected by Myend’s AES-256 encryption, with credentials encrypted client-side. Because of that protection, exports of Vault content don’t expose your stored passwords.
Your data is private, always
A few things are true no matter which plan you’re on:
- Your plan is end-to-end encrypted — Myend staff cannot read it.
- Your answers are never used to train AI models.
- You can print, export, or delete anything at any time — it’s never locked behind a one-way door.
If you want your data deleted
Account deletion isn’t a self-service feature yet. If you’d like your data deleted, contact our support team at support@myend.com and we’ll help from there.
