Living wills
Make a living will online, the way your state requires.
Justine asks plain questions about your medical wishes and helps you name your healthcare representative, the person who can decide if you cannot speak for yourself. Your first directive is free to write. Exporting it as a PDF, and adding every other directive, is Starter at $19 once.
Validity comes from signing the way your state asks, not from who drafted the document. Find your state.

Your state
Valid in your state when you sign it right.
Twenty-three jurisdictions ask for witnesses only, and another twenty-three accept a notary in place of witnesses. North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia ask for both, and Idaho and New Mexico ask for neither. Find your state on the advance directive hub to see exactly what it requires before you sign.

Texas is a proxy-only state: the person you name carries extra weight, and written wishes are weighed as evidence.
