Why Myend exists
Most people don’t have a will. When there’s no will, local intestacy law decides who gets what — not the person who lived the life. Those laws don’t change often, and they weren’t written with modern families, digital accounts, or blended households in mind. The result is a gap between what people actually want for the people they love and what happens by default when they don’t plan.
That gap isn’t really about paperwork. It’s that starting feels hard. A will can feel expensive, legalistic, or like something to think about “someday.” Meanwhile life has gotten more complicated to hand off: families are spread across states and countries, there’s more to share than a house and a bank account, and a lot of what matters — photos, logins, an old email account, a story only you can tell — doesn’t fit neatly into a traditional legal will at all.

What “the basics” look like
Myend starts from a simple question: what do most people actually need in order to feel at peace? The answer isn’t one giant legal document — it’s a handful of concrete things:
- A note or message left for the people who matter
- Clear instructions for the decisions someone else will have to make
- Access to the essential information — accounts, documents, contacts — that a family needs and often can’t find
That’s the shape of a Myend plan: directives (funeral, healthcare, euthanasia, donor, and an obituary you write in your own words), a Vault for the accounts and documents your family will need, Messages for the things you want to say, Belongings for who gets what, Memory Lane for the stories worth keeping, and Legacy Contacts — the trusted people who carry it all out.
The E-Will: your digital life, organized
Starting an E-Will has never been easier. Your account is private, encrypted, and yours alone — only you decide who sees what, and your answers are never used to train AI. With easy-to-use tools you work through nine sections — a letterhead, account access, Legacy Contacts, beneficiaries, vault, documents, messages, memories, and a signature — and end up with a record of your digital life and your wishes for it.
It’s worth being clear about what the E-Will is and isn’t: it’s not a legally binding will. It’s the companion to one — the place for everything a traditional legal document was never designed to capture, like who inherits your Instagram login or which photos should go to your daughter. The E-Will is included from the Free plan onward.
When you’re ready for the legal document
For people who want an actual legal Last Will & Testament — the document that determines who inherits your assets, who serves as executor, and who is guardian of minor children — Myend’s Complete plan covers all 51 US jurisdictions, tailored to your state. Like any legal will, it requires witness signatures to be binding; Myend guides you through what your state requires. An estate attorney typically charges $1,000–$5,000 for comparable documents.
Complete also adds cloud sync, a legacy portal for secure family access, and Proof of Life monitoring — automated check-ins that notify your Legacy Contacts if something happens to you, so nothing is ever released by accident.
Getting started costs nothing
Myend is free to start: your first conversation with Justine, your first directive and contacts, and a 10-document Vault, at no cost. When you’re ready to finish your full plan, Starter is $19 one-time. If you want the legal Last Will, cloud sync, and Proof of Life monitoring, Complete is $99 one-time, then an optional $25/year to keep monitoring and will updates current — and if you ever stop renewing, everything you’ve made stays yours, viewable and exportable, forever.
